Frequently asked questions

When are summer camps?

Camps run all summer and vary by school, camp type and location.  Check the details of your camp selections for specific information.  Camps are not in session on June 19th (Juneteenth) and July 4th.

Will there be breakfast/lunch for my child?

Yes! Breakfast will be served between 8-9 a.m. and lunch will be served between 11:30 a.m.-noon for students registered for specific programs during those times. There is no open breakfast or lunch for non-registered students this summer. A summer menu will be posted soon.

Will there be transportation?

If your child receives transportation services during the school year,  he or she will be routed for Summer Experiences taking place at their home school only. All other camps or programs not at the school of registration will need to be self-transported.  Summer Experiences will not take place at Firestone Park, Pfeiffer and Seiberling this summer.  All students from those schools will receive transportation to Glover, Rimer and Barber CLCs respectively.

How do I do sign up for a newly enrolled Pre-K or Kindergarten child?

Thank you for joining the APS family!  Until your registration is processed, your account may not be active to use the summer sign-up page.  Please click this link to select your programming choices, and we will process your choices.

Can I attend a camp or program outside of my child’s home school?

Your child is only eligible to attend Summer Experiences that appear on the results for their school and grade level. In many cases, programs take place at your child’s school, however, some programs allow for students from other campuses to attend.  Carefully read the dates, times, and locations of the program when you register.  Transportation rules apply.

How do I sign my student up for Credit Recovery, Credit Advancement or Third Grade Reading Academy?

These programs are specially designed to accommodate a student’s academic needs.  Your school counselor or principal has registration paperwork and will assign students to the correct program.

What if my child attends a specialty school program school?

Some Experiences are eligible to specialty school students and should appear in the results.  However, you may also choose to attend your verified school of residence.  For example, a Miller South 4th Grade student may join the Betty Jane Mystery Camp is the home school.
